On this website, you are going to learn about how technology is affecting society. This site has combinations of everything I have done in my research on technology in society and how it affects humanity as a whole. My goal of my research is to inform people about how technology, social media, smartphones, and all the other apps and gadgets affect you. More importantly how it impacts society, and if this is the direction that we want our evolution as humanity to move towards as we invent and depend on these new technology's and innovations.
Memes

This meme is giving off the idea that when you are on your phone texting through the halls and distracted from all outside stimuli, you become a walking, occupied zombie. It shows that you are distracted from everything around you and you just blend in because everyone around us does the same thing.

This picture sends a very strong message. The mouse represents an addictive drug, and the chord is a needle. This feeds your addiction, you cant get enough of in this case, using the computer. Most likely being social media, studies have found that social media and internet addictions are just as extreme as those addicted to cocaine.

This meme is making fun of addicted instagram users and how they often take pictures of every little thing they do or see. In this example the boy is distressed because instagram is down so he isn't able to see what this person was eating from a picture. This just shows how dependent we are on technology and how we cant even eat something without explaining it to someone else or talking about it.

This shows a basic day in Mr. Hertz's class (my english 12 teacher). Mr. Hertz is trying to teach and help us learn so we are prepared for college and our future as adults in our community. But we get side tracked in class by the interruptions of our cell phones. For example, during the process of making the capstone projects in class, students would grab computers and just start their business. Mr. Hertz would often say close your laptops so he could finish explaining for todays class. On a bigger note, this shows the kids of society following the internet and feeding their addiction. They are blinded by the real world and stay on the path of their addiction, as this picture shows. They don't respect authority.

This meme is portraying the idea that cell phones and technology in general have taken over our lives. Apple and Blackberry are two names of phones. The idea behind this is that life was much more simple and possibly easier when those devices weren't around or nearly as advanced.
